About Ray Smith and Insight Leadership Solutions

I’d always wanted to be a Systems Analyst, however the career path decided to roll out in other directions! It was during my first job in personal computer retailing that I experienced the buzz of training others and imparting knowledge and thought I would like to make a career of it somehow at some point.

After changing career, the training world beckoned again about 10 years later, when I started working as a volunteer adult education trainer in Wales and was involved for almost 10 years delivering training in management skills.

After leaving that area of work I then took the opportunity to explore Neuro Linguistic Programming for a couple of years, before becoming involved and qualified in coaching in 2007.

The formation of Insight Leadership Solutions has been a journey over many years thinking about when it might be the right time. Deciding that you must sometimes make the right time happen, a chance opportunity to experience some mentoring by my professional body seemed to be the moment and late in 2019 the company was formed.

I have spent most of my career working in service industries and operating as an executive coach across Wales working in most areas of Public Service coaching middle and senior level management.

The company is a coaching consultancy based in Wrexham, North Wales and I specialise in developing mental toughness and improving mindset coaching, working primarily with professionals, leaders and business owners. I also provide consultancy services to the service industry sector, specifically around business process improvement and change management.

I specialise in the area of personal development and growth and achieve that by developing my clients’ mindset and mental toughness. I do this by creating and developing the client’s self-awareness and developing weaknesses and enhancing strengths.

Over the years I have had considerable success with my clients as my testimonials and reviews illustrate. I am fanatical about developing or realising my clients’ potential and supporting them to take action to achieve their life or professional outcomes.
